INGREDIENTS

6 oz Strawberry Jello

1/4 cup Sugar

1/2 cup Sugar

8 oz Whipped Topping, tha̾w̾e ̾d

1 lb Strawberries, sliced

8 tbsp Unsalted Butter

8 oz Cream Cheese, softened

2 cups Boiling water

2 cups Pretzels, crushed

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Combine the jello packet and boiling water in a medium bowl. Stir till it is completely dissolved, then set aside to cool to room temperature.

Melt the butter in a medium pot and stir in 1/4 cup sugar. Crushed pretzels are added to the mix.

Transfer the pretzel mixture to a 9 x 13 baking pan and press evenly on the bottom of the pan with a fork.

Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool to room temperature after removing from the oven.

While the pretzel layer is cooling, use a hand held mixer to blend the cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth.

Fold in the whipped topping.

Spread the mixture evenly over the cooled pretzels, covering the entire pan from side to side.

Refrigerate the pan for 30 minutes.

Sliced strawberries should be added to the room temperature jello mixture.

Place the jello layer on top of the cream cheese layer and refrigerate for about 2-3 hours, or until set.

Serve and enjoy!!

Tips for making Strawberry Pretzel Salad:

Instead of fresh strawberries, you can use frozen strawberries.

Be sure to spread the cream cheese layer all the way to the edges so that the jello layer doesn’t seep down and make the pretzels soggy.
